Hey guys,
Now that i've finished revamping my audio set up and my AV receiver, I think it's time to start thinking about a decent TV! Atm i've got a 32" Panasonic CRT, which whilst is very good for what it is, it just can't compare to the HDTV's that are being churned out now. Also, for the room we have now it is just too small.
I sit about 3m from the screen, and it's in a large room. I've decided that a 46" Would be the best balance. I DEFINITELY want a 1920x1080 res panel.
I'm using it mainly for movies, with a bit of gaming thrown in but nothing major. I assume plasma would be the best for this usage?
After having a quick look around, there seems to be about a 50% premium over 42" for 46", is that about right? Also, how quickly are they dropping in price? It's going to be a couple of months off but I want to know what i need to be saving for
PS: AV Receiver is a Denon 4306, so all sources can be upscaled very well in amp to 1080 if they're not already that res, so quality of the scaler is a complete none issue
Tom.
