As for the 4790k it all depends on cost...it’s still a very good cpu...I upgraded to 6700k from 4790k and it was a sidegrade at best in real terms.

4770K is £155 from a certain computer exchange site. It would be worthwhile and keep your system relevant for longer.

as said dont pay more than a 100 pound last few days i watched a few i7 rigs 4700k/4790 200 with decent cards in. i didnt even bid on them. you can buy reconditioned i7 rigs for 200. nevermind the cpu alone.

Decent value that...I would even now sell the current rig the op has and get that or even push for a 2700 Ryzen chip
