4850 memory clocks

my iceq says it can memory clocks of 2000mhz yet on my ccc it says maximum 1000. wtf?

It's GDDR3 RAM, you multiply what CCC says by 2 to get the figure IceQ is giving.

So 1000MHz is DDR2 2000Mhz

i deleted all the drivers etc
and done a clean install

its is 1200 sorry.still thought i might get more in a stress test on css than my old card

At low res performance increases can be very limited with older games.
You could also look at CCC 3d settings to make sure AA etc is turned off or set to 'use application settings'

my 7900GT ate CSS for breakfast. I sure hope you bought the 4850 for other games than just CSS!

yes tbh the graphics are a improvement and also ive noticed the physics improve aswell and theres a few other things aswell.I think ** right mate in that im playing old games so i have to get a new one and seethe diff.Oblivion looks a lot sharper tbh.

You may be limited by your cpu maybe. CSS is a lot more cpu intensive I find. Or maybe css decided to up the settings by itself or something.
