Hey,
Recently when i'm in games, i'd have automatic fan speed control enabled. Most recently i've been playing Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas.
That's a massive card stresser, and so it seems when the card gets a high temp, fan speeds increase. Now this is okay if it didn't go up and down like a yo-yo repeatedly.
It never used to do this, and yet after trying older drivers it's still got the same issue.
I know the 4850 is meant to run at high temps under load (80c) but mine as recently been going at 100 and with furmark it's maxes absolutely at 110c, which to me is shocking (and this is with 100% fan speed)
Idle on desktop it's about 63c with 50%.
ATi-Tool shows no artifacts and major distortions, but that temp is bizarre (also this was after doing it for 15 mins).
I also haven't had a system hang.

That's my furmark page ^
So what does everyone think, RMA time?
PS: I did get it from OcUK
PSS: Hello! (I haven't introduced myself yet, sorry!)
