4870 > 5770

Just a quick one.

I currently run a 4870 512 and want a cheap upgrade, will be going for 2 in crossfire next month.

I like the vapor x because they are quiet
looking on OCUK at the moment

Is the 4870 a better card or do you think the 5770 is price wrong, sure it was £146 last week

DONT TELL THEM ITS THAT MUCH CHEAPER.
Back to the topic the 5770 'used' to be worse than a 4870 with very little in it, however as the drivers are maturing it's surpassing the 4870 and in Crossfire one could even say it is unrivalled without spending £400+.

Yer I have seen tests where 2 in crossfire match or even better the 5870 at double the price.

Can't buy it at the moment as the site won't give me my free delivery (not sure why)

The 5770 is around about a 4870 but slightly better now (drivers?).

It also drinks less juice & stays cooler.

I play GRID on 1920x1080 with everything on full no problems & that's only with a single card.

Yer I have the hannsg 1920x1200 and find the 4870 I have struggles. Have heard good things about the vapor x being quiet and not so power hungry.

All I need to do now it get my free del and it buy it GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

think it's just the old it was a last gen top end card along with the 4890
price is still holding well for them.

Yer read that 2, also the 5770 gives me direct x 11 and eyefinity

but only matches in some game 5770 cf does have it's downfalls

youtube videos look at flash bang effects on crossfire give white screen, can get juddering of frames, lots to lookk into before u buy
