4870 flash went wrong

Can't remember which series Nvidia card I tried, it was a pci-e card but for the life of me couldn't get RBE to pick up the ATi card.. Did you do it through dos dude ?

Yeah, would never flash anything in windows if you can do it in DOS

Will keep that in mind for next time I have to flash my card, was flashing through Windows when it went wrong... Hadn't had any problems doing it with my 3870 through Windows, perhaps the 4870 is more choosey!!

I had a bad flash with my old 3850. Unfortunately I did not have a spare card, but I did manage to blind-flash the original bios using a floppy and ATIFlash. It is not too hard to do.

got another 4870 but pc wont boot with the dud card in it in either slot so i think the card is dead

You managed to get your card sorted...?

no its showing one card thats working fine and ive flashed it a few times ok in dos but atiflash isnt picking up the broken card,do i need the crossfire cables connected or is the card fubar
