4870 pixel lines across screen

playing crysis and grid I seem to get what I can only describe as a pixelated line acroos the width of the screen? anyone else had the same problem? 200 quid card, hope its not faulty already?

sounds to me like it maybe tearing, vsync issue
maybe wrong, but thats my 2p's worth
try forcing vsync in ccc
if that doesnt work, use d3d over rider in rivatuner, that will deffinatly sort it if it is a vsync issue

sorry dude bit new to all this ( hence the vague discription) dont know what vsyncis CCC= Coca-Cola Championship in my book!! lol

If you go into the CCC..Catalyst control center(right click on the ATI taskbar icon)You will see HD4800 listed select 3D settings & select vertical refresh to always on

thanks for that Rob! just recovered from a complete system crash whilst playing crysis, this was the error:

Error Message: STOP 0x000000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER (Q293078)

does that mean ouwt to anyone? window said it was the Graphics driver

Did you get a red screen with the error ? If so,it's quite a common error at the minute Had it myself. What drivers are you using & are you on XP or Vista ?

If you google ATI RSOD you will see what i meanSeen a few people on here have had it,i'm on vista64. Had it with the 8.9s now onto the 8.10 betas & all seems well so far

Try some other game as crysis is problematic anyway.

didnt get a RSOD but oddly I got a Green screen??
Im on the latest drivers from the ATI site which ever they are and im running XP Pro

only 5 days in and already a hat full of problems with this card, serioulsy have second thoughts about ATI

Tried unistalling and re-installing but this error keeps coming up!! ARGH!!!!

plus my system now fails to complet even a simple benchmark like Augamark3!! when I run it i get this error.
