right ive not long installed my sapphire 4870
problem is playing cod4
when im in a room or close upto a wall and i fire the gun the light / flash seems to make a line on the screen abit like a vsync problem. this is the only way i can explain it as like when u enable vsync on an nvidia card to stop the lines apprearing
any ideas as to what may be causing this

anyone know why this is an issue with 4870
as per google there are quite a number of threads regarding screen tearing and vsync on 4870
 
when installing the card
i have one 6pin pci e from the psu and 2 provided in the sapphire box
psu pci e cable goes in 1 slot on card
one of the 2 provided in the box inserted into slot 2 on the card, then the 4 pin molex goes where ? ive just connected it to a vacant 4 pin felame molex, correct ?

Cause its so bloody fast :p

Seriously though, AFIK the tearing comes from having high framerates. You won't see tearing if the maximum framerate your system produces is say 50 fps.

That's why I think people are noticing it more especially with older or less demanding games as they have upgraded to 4870's or GTX280's.
