im not big up on knowladge of cards ,i got this 4870-1 gig to replace mt 8800 gt,mainly i play call of duty,so will this 4870 be better than my 8800 or did i waste £££

It's a lot better than your 8800GT, it's just a shame you didn't know about the new ATi cards coming out.

Info is being released on them in 2 days, but yeah a 4870 is a lot better than an 8800GT.
 
I went from 7600GT to 4870 have yet to play a game at less than MAX (apart from FSX) but no amount of ATI cards will help me there as your 8800GT would play better than my 4870 on that sim :(

I'm pretty sure that applies to nVidia's GTX200s too, they all seem to struggle with it for some odd reason.
