Hi all,

Got BF3 tonight and I'm having some issues. If I try to play the game with crossfire enabled I get a blank screen and the PC reboots. If I disable crossfire the game loads and it plays. The same is happening with Fifa 12. I'm running 11.10 drivers. Surely my 2nd GPU hasn't died? Tested overclock and its rock solid and I've tried older drivers but still not working.

PC is overclocked to 4ghz but I've never overclocked the gpu. CPU and GPU are water cooled.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

RoEy

Anyone got any ideas?

Really hope my 2nd gpu hasnt died. If it has, then this really is divorce material. I have to play BF3 so a new card might be on its way but I'm pretty sure my wife will walk if I do. :D

Hi arc@css,

Temps are absolutely fine mate. Both cores sit around 35 degrees idle, no higher than 42 when gaming. Just tried Counter Strike Source and it got to the menu screen but then the screen went blank and it proceeds to reboot.

Very puzzled.

Try the following as it may highlight an issue, or you may just not get to that point when it falls over and reboots the PC.

Edit: you'll need the OpenCL version as you're running AMD/ATI hardware.

Edit2: Might be helpful if I say read the readme regarding using it. Simple usage is to open a cmd prompt, cd to the directory where the exe is, and type memtestCL.exe 500 50 for example, which will test 500MB with 50 iterations. There may be a bit more of a restriction with AMD hardware regarding how much memory you can test, so you may want to start lower, although the default is 128MB. You can always just double click the exe to run a quick test.
As you have two GPUs you'll want to test both, you can do that by adding the --gpu 1 parameter
i.e. memtestCL.exe 500 50 --gpu 1
