Are all the 4870X2's the same?

I've been looking at them and they vary quite a lot in price, was looking at the Powercolor but only 1 left in stock, so thinking of alternatives just incase....whats the Gainward like?

The cards themselves are exactly the same, the main difference between them is the warranty. The bundle (if there is any) may differ slightly from manufacturer to manfacturer.

Doesnt seem to be any bundle with any of them, just seem to be the card...no games included

I'm sure its a stupid question really, but what are the temps and noise levels like on the Gainward? What PSU do you have in your machine?

If the card is left to control it's own speed, as it is by default, the temps are around 85c under load but you can manually adjust the fan speed via the CCC now if you wish.

Noise wise, I wouldn't be able to give a great answer as my machine is fairly loud anyway, but with default fan speeds it's certainly not any louder than the rest of my computer.

My PSU is a 1000w OCZ, overkill, but I got it for a great price :p

Mine is rather loud, but the only game I've played so far that makes it loud is Crysis. Everthing else runs on my medium-high fan setting.

Runs nicely off an 880w Hiper PSU.

Got my Powercolour 4870x2 running on my 780W OCZ quite happily.

CCC didn't like my machine so I'm using Rivatuner for fan control. Got it at 40% default (idling in a warm room at 53C) going up to a max of 58% depending on ingame temperature.

Noise wise:
I can definately tell that the card is there at 40%, but all of the other fans in my PC are Noctua P12s, so there's a bit of a difference :p

The first time you boot with the card installed it might be a bit shocking, but you just need to remember the joys of fan control :)

That is warm...was really tempted with one, but I already get a lot of heat kicking out of my PC with nowhere to go from my 4870....might have to reconsider the X2.
