4890 died?

I brought this graphics card about a month ago and today i turned pc on and the monitor came alive but just black screen.
I have checked all cables, tried with 1 stick of ram, reinserting the card aswell.
When the system powers on 3 red lights flash for a second but dont stay on, they again flash when i turn it off.
Anything else to try before I rma this?

I read another forum on here about someone having issues with their gpu and red lights would flash too.

[not to thieve info I cannot remember the thread] I remember the answer being that each of the red lights has a code of some sort next to it and/or on it. Googling the codes should allow you to pinpoint the issue with your graphics card!

If you can't figure it all out, I'd sort out RMAing the card asap.

Also have you got a speaker on your motherboard?

This could also point to it maybe being the CPU, RAM or mobo.

I searched on the 3 red lights and it seems that all is well if they just flash on POST for a second then go off, This is what my card does.

Yes there is a speaker on my motherboard and it just gives the normal 1 beep, green light is lit on the board.

I've now rma'd it. As its over 30 days (38 days) will ocuk send it back to powercolor and wait for there actions? or will they just test, identify it is faulty and ship a new 1 out to me the sameday?

try it in amnother pc if you can

Best way to tell if its the gfx card is to turn your pc on and see if the hdd access light is flickering - if it is, that usually menas the system is booting as normal.
