My XFX 4890 has an under average Vantage score, it gets roughly ~8000 GPU points with the performance setting as oposed to the ~10000 points it should be getting.
I've tried it with 2 different CPU's, a Pentium Dual Core E6300 and a Athlon 2 x2 250. The Pentium E6300 was tried from speeds of 2.8Ghz all the way up to 4.2Ghz and the Athlon x2 was tried from 3Ghz upto 3.6Ghz and no matter what the CPU clock the GPU score remained at ~8000 points.
However I chucked it into my uncles rig that houses a stock clocked core i7 and in his system it got the ~10000 points that it should be getting!
Why won't it in my system?
There's no way a 3.6Ghz Athlon x2 and a 4.2Ghz Wolfdale powered E6300 is bottlnecking a single stock clocked 4890. Both system were running the same drivers as well
Any ideas?
