4890x2

2gb per chip would offer no real benefit over 1gb, at the moment. imho.

Which partner do you reckon is the one going for the 1ghz card? My money is on Sapphire.

It would be relly nice if we didnt have to water cool them though, but looking at the power requirements I'm thinking the stock coolers wont be anything like quiet.

To be honest though, these cards will gave a short lifespan, less than 12months (like most cards :p) 5800 and gt300 will probably be out by the beginning of 2010.

Its about having a card that has the power to meet your needs or you can play that waiting game forever.

The 2 4890X2 4GB should power my 30" at 4XAA & 8XAA for sometime to come & newer cards coming out 6 months from now wont magically stop the 4890X2 from performing.

Look at the steam survey & you will see that most people upgrade when they have to & not when there is a new kid on the block.

Still 4890x2 has a market, but the question is when will it be released, and you can be sure that Nvidia has a trick up their sleeve.
