What I meant to say was:
I have been told that it can only use more, meaning the more you have the more it will use - until you reach a ridiculous amount of something like 160gb. The problem being that the performance increase is next to nothing above 12gb. I apologise once again if my source lied :)
 
Seems unlikely though, since the dual-GPU cards are normally clocked lower in order to reduce power consumption and heat. They're unlikely to be clocked higher than the single-GPU parts, right?
 
Thats only 2gig per GPU tho, I can imagine theres some people who could use that, who play on tripple displays and like to max out the FSAA and quality settings.
 
Sounds tempting, but seeings as the newer cards are only half a year away at most i think it is probably better to wait.

Most of the more demanding games arent coming until later in the year anyway..

unless you have a bigger monitor than 22" or 24", thats what stinks about LCD's.. going bigger means always needing to have the best cards.
