4coredual-vsta + Fan Speed Control

Hi guys, im the proud new owner of a E4300 and a 4coredual-vsta after upgrading from a XP2500+.

I enabled the cpu quiet fan function in the bios (v1.40) at 50C however the fan speed is still running at 2000rpm which is still quite audible. This is at ~0 load core temperature being only 31C. Do I have to install any drivers or alike in order to reduce the fan speed?

Im sorry to answer my own thread, but if anyone has a similar problem, version 1.0 of the bios fixes the cpu fan control problem and also allows enhanced speedstep.
