I noticed that the new P45 boards offer 4 slots with up to 16Gb, which means that 4Gb modules must finally be in the pipeline for us non-ecc non-£££ types. Anyone had a sniff of any of these and have an idea on when/how much we can expect them to be?
I know it's outrageous, but I'd love to run a P45 with 4x4Gb DDR2, could RamDrive all my games then - certainly help with the biggies like FSX and others - especially the level loads!
(be interesting to see what happens - lots of 2x4Gb buffered ecc ram avail at the £200 mark - not too shabby - here's hoping the unbuffered non-ecc stuff comes down a bit from there!)
