I've got Vista 64bit and was thinking about upgrading to 4GB with another 2GB Geil ram that's on offer this week. However I've just seen a couple of threads today that have put me off slightly.

Apart from task switching, where else would I see an improvement in performance? In windows and in gaming.

And finally, do you think it's worth upgrading?

Thanks for any advice.

i have vista ultimate 64 bit and 4gig ram is must for vista .

like vista when its tarts it uses around 25% of 30 % of your ram so thats about 1.5 gig of ram. if i was you upgrade to 4 gig as soon as possible.

Im using 40% of 4GB sitting here reading this page, Vista will let go of the Ram if needed by another APP's like if I run a Game.

Vista loads all your most used APP's into Memory.
