What do you use to play games on and is it any good? I’ll start:

55 inch Samsung ks8000 I’ve had about 15 months and continue to be blown away by how good hdr games can look. Play on a PS4 pro.

Hisense H49N5700 PS4 + PC
PS4 works flawlessly and looks stunning (with HDR off!) Luckily? I have never seen a true HDR screen in action so I'm not missing it, but with HDR on it looks terrible, all washed out and generally rubbish.
I'm putting it down to being an 8 bit panel.
Netflix content that's in HDR just looks...off
Also cannot get anything to run full-screen at 60hz via the PC, it keeps defaulting back to 30hz, So I'm forced to run games in windowed mode.
Alas PS4 stuff looks bang on, GT Sport is glorious, shame about the PC side, I'm all ears if anyone has any ideas on that.

HI,

What resolution are you using on pc and what connection type, iirc if the resolution is set to high then you need to connect via display port to get 60hz.

TV has no display port but can do 60hz 4k over HDMI on two of it's 3 ports. 3840x2160 on the desktop @ 60hz works fine. Just when you try to fullscreen a game it will drop down to 30hz at the same res.
Borderless windowed mode in a game will run @ 4k 60hz fine though, if you ALT+Enter to fullscreen, or ask to run fullscreen via the game settings the TV drops its mode to 3840x2160 @ 30hz.

HDR issues in WW2 for me with an LG 2016 VA panel. Intermittently the picture will just black out or flicker green.

This issue doesn't occur with HDR turned off, when it happens if I turn the TV off and back on the HDMI handshake seems to cure itself and all is okay again.

Just something to be wary of with HDR, I don't think it's particularly without it's problems.

Same as you OP. The OLED's look great but not great enough to warrant the extra for me personally. Maybe when the issues are ironed out I'll get one in 3+ years.

Which TV?

I suspect it’s nothing to do with HDR and is actually the TV, it’s accepting an HDR signal but that’s about it and won’t do it justice

I hate how the manufacturers fudge all this terminology and con consumers with BS.

It's an LG 58uh635v - 8 bit panel but when hdr is enabled I notice the difference. Turn it off and I can tell it is off.

I think the best way to get HDR into your home is through a FALD TV, such as the DX902.

OLED does still have teething issues with image retention. That doesn't mean every TV will have it, but there will be a number of TVs that do, and its content dependent. I personally wouldn't invest in a TV where I have to be cautious about using it.

LG don't even cover image retention in their warranty.

Nothing on my B6 and it’s in constant use with all sorts of content and abused by 3 kids too.

It’s like everything tbh a few cases and it’s a bigger problem than it actually is.

Same here, I have had mine since last April, do plenty of gaming on it and not had any image retention, best TV I have owned for movies and gaming.
