4K HDR TV

Mine is not dull in game mode. Post up your settings and I will compare to mine...

Does it look dull compared to standard or Vivid though?

Its pretty frustrating, pc mode disables a lot of options, so you get mad colour banding which you dont get in console mode - but then you have the dullness of HDR mode because certain modes are blacked out. Just unlock all the options and let us pick what we want!

Nope I have set each setting up though. The stock settings for each mode are not great some tweaking is necessary to get the best. I don’t use PC mode just game mode for my consoles with custom settings for both SDR and HDR.

Quick crappy pic with iPad but this is how it looks in HDR game mode... It’s not dull I try and go for a natural look. Vivid mode just ups the colour and brightness to give an artificial look to me. It’s far to oversaturated....

Bought a Philips 55PUS6401 for £450 in March last year.

I thought about spending £1k or so on the Samsung or Sony equivilents but I couldn't justify it. I've been super impressed with the quality of this screen, I know it's not full HDR10 but the picture quality, at least to my layman eyes, is stunning, and the Android updates are regular.

The Ambilight feature still impresses every time I turn the TV on:

It depends on the game - Its not too dark in stuff like Gears of War or Horizon Zero dawn - but on Fifa and Everybody's golf it is and looks better in PC Mode using normal or dynamic - or in regular SDR.

What HDR games are you playing?

Pretty much everything other than FIFA tbh... I will try everybody’s golf later as I have it but have not played...

You could post any number of pro and con videos on the burn issue. Every OLED owner could post a Pro OLED video, every non-OLED owner could post a con-OLED video.
No real point - the information is out there. There is a risk, and only an individual can decide if that minimal risk is acceptable to them.
The majority of owners will never have a problem with burn-in, and that is the only fact we can definitely confirm.
