4k output on low profile?

Hi Guys,
I am trying to spec out an upgrade for our meeting room at work. This is used for meetings and light office use. I am thinking of getting a 55" 4k TV (PANASONIC VIERA TX55AX630B) and connecting it up to an old HP SFF E8400 based system. My only issue is that I'm not sure how to make the most of the panel given the limitations of the graphics card needing to be low profile.

From doing some reading I would need a GPU with HDMI 2.0 which only seem to come on high end gaming cards (970/980). Other option is to get cheap low profile card and use HDMI 1.4a which is limited to 30Hz. I'm not sure how this would effect things though?

Ideally I would like a cheap low profile card with HDMI 2.0 but this don't seem to exist. Does anyone have any ideas on the best way to go about this?

Probably not but I have £1,000 for the screen so figured why not. It does seem to be more hassle than it's worth so I might just stick to a decent 55" 1080p LED connected up to a £30 low profile GPU.
 
well you could get the phillips 40inch that has a display port, its a va tho so not sure if viewing angles are that amazing

a nice quality 1080p, ips or whatever would maybe look better
depends how far people are sitting away i guess

Thats why most meeting rooms use a projector and screen not a TV then it doesnt matter about viewing angles and is cheaper. IQ not as good admittedly.

think id be tempted to put up with 30hz until upgrade the pc later lol
some these new screens look rly nice!
there will be cheaper graphics cards doing hdmi2.0 real soon i should think >.<

then again if you like walking up and down with a pointy stick....projector!
 
We currently have a projector. The other company offices are moving to large TVs instead of projectors so I have to follow suit. If it were me we would have a projector (Optoma HD141X) but company IT director wants TVs.
 
I think from the distance you will be viewing the screen in a meeting room, 4k is unnecessary. 1080p will be fine. If you look at big posters / billboards they are printed at incredibly low pixel density because, the difference can't be noticed from the distance at which they are viewed. I think high res is only needed for up close viewing
The money would probably be better spent getting a better quality panel at 1080p
