4k TV and 21.9 resolution users, advice please.

If memory serves me correctly, when i had a 21:9 monitor with a 290 i had to use a DVI-D cable to get 2650x1080?

Thinking about it, my 290 might have had a dodgy HDMI connector. I do remember having to run out and paying way over the odds for a DVI-D cable though

TV doesn't have DVI-D

The HDMI cable works fine and the HDMI port on my 290 works too as I used to use it for my 2560x1080 21.9 monitor.

Get an Active Display Port to HDMI 2.0 adapter to convert HDMI to Display Port is a must have on HDTV PC gaming as none have Display Port connectivity! Decent one cost about £20 it corrects the HDMI limited colour space bug. Also make sure you have the GPU set to 1:1 pixel mapping and the HDTV does not override that as recent LG have HDMI Deep Colour but it only appears when your connected to a HDMI source. I now have an LG Super Nano HDTV with Active HDR Dolby Vision & 4 other HDR modes it looks mind blowing for PC gaming

I was looking at that but not much point as I intend to get new GPU which will have the required HDMI port without any need for an adaptor in the next 6 months or so.

HDMI limited colour space bug? Can't say I've noticed that, I've got black level set up correctly on the tv end and on my PC end, AMD is set to full RGB 4:4:4 (10 bit) format.
