Are there any 4k Ultrawide Gsync 120Hz+ monitors planned? It's the only screen that I would swap my X34a for, so just wondering what's in the pipeline?
The closest currently planned are IPS panels with 3440 x 1440 res and a native 144Hz refresh rate, and VA panels of the same res but up to 200Hz refresh rate. No word on actual monitors planned yet but the panel production is in road maps
Yea, I'm going to skip them as they don't offer enough over the X34a to justify the upgrade.
Yep, gonna hold on to the ROG PG348Q for a while myself I expect. OLED 4K ultrawide with 120+ refresh rate.. One can dream
What would the Resolution of a monitor need to be to make a 4K ultra wide ?Are there any 4k Ultrawide Gsync 120Hz+ monitors planned?

about 6k x 2k
5120 × 2160
Yup
I think a lot of us are waiting for a 5120x2160 100+Hz 40" UW

I'm expecting those to be out next year and a suitable GPU to drive them.
Wont matter anyway as there wont be a card that can run at 5120 x 2160 at 100+ min until then anyway.
we still dont have a 60fps 4k card yet.
Ive never known the monitor world to be so slow at new tech.
5120x2160 100+Hz 40" UW I suspect wont even be seen until 2020 and mainstream and affordable will be a few years after that.

Yes we will. Not at ultra quality, of course.
The 1080 and Titan X are perfectly decent 4K cards.
decent yes, but cant run at 60 fps minimum yet at 4k.
With GSync they don't need to.
And a number of vendor reps have dropped hints about DP 1.4 monitors.
