Inspired by the 20pin v 24pin thread, I have an 8 pin connector on my new mobo (with a cap over 4 pins so you can use either a 4 pin ATX 12v connector or an 8 pin EPS 12v and I have both 4 pin and 8 pin power cables on my PSU.
So, which is 'better'? I presume more power is available from the 8 pin, so is it just safer to use it long term?
CPU is Q6600.
