4Tb (£18) / 8Tb (£21) / 16 Tb (£25) USB drives on ebay

They'll be fake.
Likely just have a weight glued inside and a small USB drive that reads as though it's larger than it is.

Avoid.

I wonder if this could be a similar extension to "fake" USBs. Aka the 1TB thumb drives which are actually 128mb and report wrongly into the OS.
 
These are fake and are targeted towards people are that are not tech savvy minded. Its quite surprising people still fall for them though.

Yes, that's what they look like to me. I know someone who bought a 1Tb USB stick a couple of years ago but when I checked it out it was only 256Mb. Pretty sure he bought it on ebay.
