Hi
Is it possible to have 4x 500 or 750 gig sata drives, raided together for one big hard drive, and still have another drive sata or ide where the operating system is installed??? on my motherboard..
Thanks in-advance.

Not on a hardware level, no, you might be able to do it with software but I wouldn't recommend it. The problem is that you only have 3 ports on one Raid controller and 2 on the other(specifications here) so you could have 2xRaid0 arrays and a separate OS drive, I'd recommend however that you just keep them as independant drives though so that if one falls over then it isn't a big problem.

Yup, perfectly possible, I'm running 8 Hitachi 250Gb HDDs on a Highpoint 2320 plus another 2 on the mobo SATA ports. The 2320 is configured with a single 1.75Gb RAID5 array for storage, the system boots off one of the mobo drives.
