Following on from my thread here, I thought I'd post up the new problem in here to see if I can resolve this a bit more quickly.
In summary I have an external box with RAID5 configured, I can see the 5.5TB through MS Disk Management, I can mount it as GPT so that it shows up as RAW drive, but trying to format it as NTFS seems to crash Windows every time I try (Windows 7 Professional 64bit).
I have tried 3rd party utilities (Partition Wizard) but that didn't work either (crash).
Any ideas?
