5.9 win score on new bundle rig

Hey all,
I recently purchased the 16gig version Quasar 215i" Intel Core i7 4770K @ 4.2GHz Overclocked Haswell Gaming PC Bundle
how much did you pay for it ?
you might find that with a higher oc processor / graphics/ram it will increase your score a bit.

i get processor:7.8 i7 3770k
memory :7.9 8 gig ram 2133mhz
graphics :7.9 gtx 780i
game graphics:7.9
prime hard disk :7.9 samsung 840 pro 250gig

but if your system is running fine don't worry about it :)

Come on man no one cares about this score. See how the pc performs in your everyday tasks. Compare the benches to benches you can get from review sites and you can see better then a picture of the PC's performance.

You're just jelly 'cos you only got 5.8..

CrystalDiskMark scores look fine for that drive. Remember you'll get slower write speeds on the 128GB version because it has fewer flash chips.

I'm sure I had the same issue when I first got an SSD.

The first time I ran the test is scored 7.8 or something quick. When I installed something else 6 months later, it capped at 5.9 however many times I ran it.

I'm sure somewhere within the WEI tooltips it said there wasn't enough contiguous free space to do the full test, hence the 5.9 score.

just googled it, and came up with this from a TomsHardware thread:

So I googled that and found another, more intelligent person (Frank Tovar's Blog) had determined that WEI requires a 1 gig contiguous block of free space to complete or it dumps you a 5.9 rating.

my memory is better than I thought

(edit: sorry for double post, I hit edit and mis-understood how to use the boxes. Apparently my memory is better than I thought but my common sense has gone out the window. Feel free to consolidate)

No difference between SATA II and III cables, heck the only difference between I and II is that they added a clip into revision II.

LOL NAh that's not true really well sorta is and isnt.. The difference between SATA2 and SATA3 cables is that the SATA3 cables are tested to run at SATA3 speeds with no data loss. The SATA2 cables will still run at SATA3 speeds but are not certified/tested at that speed. It used to be the same with SCSI cables.

The clips are there because SATA3 is sooo fast the cable could pop out ;)

:D

Psshhh, that's me told! So then, lets have a look at the statistics on SATA II cables loosing data, I put my money on it being barely anything :p Thanks for correcting me though ;)

LOL Its just a bit of useless information I know.. For instance if you sell into military and havnt got those tests and claim its still SATA3 you can be in breach of contract! Its silly but one of those rules.. ;)
