It's coming up to the end of the year so I thought we could wrap it up with your own list of your favourite pictures you have taken this year. I doubt if I'll get something new between now and next week that might earn a place in my top five, but you never know.

I found it hard to bunch my favourites together let alone pick five of them. Looking through my 2012 pictures, a lot of them are pretty meh.

I guess it's no wonder there are two panoramas in my list this year. Once I learnt how to do it, I found it pretty entertaining trying to compose them and edit them. It's also no surprise that three of them are of London. I don't know why I really started doing London shots when the Olympics started. Maybe I just got caught up in the buzz of it.

So let's see your favourites of 2012.

Your panos certainly work well dammit!

For me it's a mixed bag of different shots, hard to pick 5 but if I had to single some out it would probably be these:

An ex work colleague's wedding I shot recently, there's some issues surrounding his father and as such he couldn't attend the ceremony itself, only visit before to pass on his best wishes. I grabbed this shot as they both walked off to a quieter area.
I thought it was quite a moving moment.

Walking down Albert Road after having just come out of the theatre I walked past this barbershop, it was night, around 7PM and I saw a moment, luckily I had the camera set to ISO4000 and it just happened to work out quite well exposure and shutter speed because it pretty much was >>> walking past > look left > see shot > aim camera > shoot > carry on walking :o

I have an aunt that lives in Stoke and 5 minutes walk up the hill from her house is this epic hill overlooking the city. Walking around there during a sunset I had the 50mm 1.4 only on me and the light was absolutely amazing. It was only when I got home that I noticed the man and his 2 dogs in the background, that just finished the shot for me.

Marwell Zoo.
A Red Lemur looks at me through the glass and opens its mouth wide. I didn't know if this was really a favourite shot in this list but I guess it is. It has that non-zoo feel to it I think or something like that!

Chambre De/Du Commerce, Antwerp (Belgium).
Months of planning this trip, several hundred miles each way only to not be able to visit everything on the plan due to poor weather! This building was a must though and standing in the middle looking around at all the detail, the sheer size of the trading hall gave you a cold awesome feeling.
