15 years. Wow.

I was sleeping off night shift, woke up about midday, switched on the telly and was mortified by what I was seeing.

One good thing to come out of, or was certainly influenced by, the tragedy was the formation of JESIP which is a basic set of principles allowing the emergency services to communicate and work with each other more efficiently.

I was temping in customer services for a business broadband company on that day and the rush of people looking at the news clogged up the Internet knocking our customers offline. Many of them didn't care when I told them why, I distinctly remember one customer saying "I don't care if London is being attacked, get me back online!"
