I didn't bother watching this when it first came out, looked really soppy so I dismissed it.

Saw it last night on Channel 5 and was pleasantly surprised, great family film and a good addition to Adam Sandlers movie career.

7/10 :)

Did anyone else see this last night?

I've seen this a couple of times now. I love films like this. Nice and easy to watch with the right amount of everything in them. Not a bad way to spend a couple of hours on a Sunday night :)

The music (somewhere over the rainbow) sounds amazing over the end credits.

His best film is debatable; I'd add waterboy and wedding singer as contenders. And also agree that seeing one of his friends' cameos raises a little smile - I do look out for them.

<3 Adam Sandler :o

I mentioned the same thing about the song on the credits to my missus last night as we watched it and I loved this song. I take it its this version..

Edit: Just watched that video to the end, very touching.:(

I hate Adam Sandler as much as I hate Ricky Gervais. I watch but I just don't laugh.

Sandler works so well in serious films. 50 First Dates is a lump-in-the-throat sentimental piece and I'm not ashamed to say that I really enjoyed it. It's very bitter-sweet and not cliched or cheesey in the slightest.

Another one of Sandler's films which I thought very highly of was Reign Over Me. It's not as 'happy' but it's still absolutely worth a watch.
