£500 beast

Hi, could someone spec me up the best gaming PC for £500.

Things I would like to have:

HD7870
An SSD

Everything else can be whatever fits the budget.

Looking for the 60fps in most games.

Not sure if this is doable but can anything come close? I could stretch to £550 if I must.

Not really, I hear bad things about hybrid drives & their reliability.

Might be worth looking at this case which brings two fans not just one, for your build to have some intake cooling -

Don't forget a CD/DVD player/rewriter, if the rig needs one.

Need, no. They just cool better and the cooling-to-noise ratio tends to be more efficient.

Considering your budget I'd make do with the stock cooler for now. Everything should work fine at default clock speeds. Then you can see about adding a better cooler and better thermal compound in the future if the stock cooler is too noisy or you want cooler temps for whatever reason. Just my opinion.
