~£500 budget for audio setup (for uni in Sept)

I've been looking at the new KRK RP# range with OzZie, not sure whether to get the 6" ones though.

I've recently been lucky enough to get some genelec 8030a monitors for my setup.
Before I was using krk rp - 8's, good monitors and fairly well price, i'd recommend them.

These arrived this morning - fantastic is all I can say!
Such clear sound, haven't been able to test volume yet but will do after work later when everyone's out!

Glad you like em. :D

Just a few bits and bobs here and there and youve got yourself a nice studio setup.

Edit: Make sure you dont push the speakers too hard volume wise, as even though they are big in size, you can still damage them if you have them excessively loud for long periods. I'm talking about being at 75%+ or more constantly, but you'll know not to as it'll be far too loud to be pleasurable... ;)

Have been experimenting with volume actually and they don't appear to go very loud in comparison to my Logitech X-530's.

Thoughts?

They connected to the ProjectMix yeah?

Somewhere on the desk there may be a Control Room volume pot which controls the main out volume, as long as the speakers are connected correctly at the back. (i.e main outs and not another output)

Also, have you messed around with the volume at the back of each speaker? I only have mine set at half on each, as otherwise the possibility of them being damaged is higher should there be a sudden outburst of loud sound come unexpectedly.

Can't see a volume control, only one for each headphone output which does nothing for the main volumes.

Update - They're producing at a lot better volume now, they were just on the floor before, now have them at head height on the desk and the sound is a lot better.

Still need to get a controller keyboard, OzZie when will you be online dammit?!?!?!
