Good afternoon everyone,

I have £500 to spend on my new built. From the old PC I have HDD and DVD rom, not much, but saves few pounds ;)

I want this PC to be in MicroATX case. I have very small room to fit ATX so I would prefrer to use mATX.

General puropse of PC is gaming... I'm currently using 1680x1050 resolution. I'm not expecting any super-duper-mega detalis, but I want to play quite comfortable for couple years. Thanks for any help, ;)

Are your old drives SATA drives yeah?

Also need an OS?

yep, WD500GB Blue.

I don't need new OS.

sk82jack, thanks for suggestions. What would you recommend me ? Intel or AMD? Like I said, I will just play on this machine in 1680x1050 resolution.

Thanks, ;~)

Well the intel CPU will out perform the AMD, but the graphics card is a lot better on the AMD system.

For better gaming performance I'd be more tempted by the AMD build I think, but wait for other opinions too:)

Unless you're planning on upgrading your monitor resolution, or tessellation is a big deal to you, the 5850 is considerable overkill for 1680x1050, and there's no reason to shoot for a 6950.

The i5 2500K is a far better processor, and if I was going AMD, I'd drop down to an X4 anyway- the X6 offers no benefits for gaming relative to an X4.

Well, I don't think I'll change my monitor soon.

Heh, I didn't know that 2300 can't be overclocked :|
Your built looks all right, I just need to know that it is the best option for my budget
This cooler will fit on socket 1155 ?

Just realised I didn't even spec a mATX case in my first post:rolleyes:

They don't have a good selection of cheap mATX cases here.

Cooler Master Elite 342 Case - Black its only one which is mATX, I don't need very good case, it just need to fit. I have few fans, so it should be cool.
