Hi everyone

Currently have a Msi 570 gtx twin frozr iii on z68, 8gb 1600mhz i5 2600k @ 4.3ghz and looking to upgrade the graphics card for either a single or dual cards, willing to spend upto £500 (£300 on top of around £200 my current card may fetch). Would prefer a single card due to heat, noise and power consumption.

My current setup struggles to play bf3 @ 2560x1440 at anything beyond Low preset. Medium preset runs at around 40fps which I find unbearable.

I'm liking the MSI 7970 lightning 3gb @ £420 - will it do me?

Thanks.

Tough one to call tbh. Just make sure you do your homework and lots of it, as that is a very high resolution for any single card.

Thats what im worried about aswell as i game at that res aswell.
My options for me to play games at max settings with smooth gameplay is either crossfire/sli or wait till the nvidia 690 or ati 7990 comes out. Either choice will be expensive.

You're going to struggle to get £200 for a 570 these days. 7970/680 2GB/4GB are your options around £500.
