Looking to get a new hard drive, as one of my seagates is borked the other on the way out, within about a month of each other which is quite shocking.

looking for a 500gb sata drive for less than £50 ideally.

What can people recommend?

My motherboard is an nf4 asus a8n sli deluxe. Not sure if it supports sata II, is that a problem or do all sata mobo's support them?

Thanks

You always have the Hitatchi for under 50 notes, or failing that, its £54 for the WD (Maxtor are [poor {apparently} ] seagates*).

A good choice but I would strongly suggest spending an extra tenner on the 640GB F1. An extra 20MB/s~ faster, slightly better access times and 140GB more space.
