I bought a my book pro 500gb to use as a backup drive about a week ago.
I left my pc on last night downloading an ubuntu torrent directly onto it to save me having to redownload it next time i need to burn it onto dvd. Woke up this morning to hundreds of delayed write errors, and then couldn't access the drive. Took a couple of reboots and turning the power off to get it recognised again.
Are the delayed write errors a sign of the drive failing, or a problem with bittorrent/USB/windows
Also, can I use the 4pin firewire connection on my laptop with it, or does it have to be a six pin connection the same as on the back of the drive?
