Hi,

Rumours are on fire atm that the 5080 Super is being delayed or it is dead due to AI ram demand for data centres. if i didnt want or need a GPU for personal work to replace my GTX 1080 i wouldn't care. i might have to cave and get a 5060ti 16gb or 5070ti 16gb and wait for a 60 series. All i can say to Nvidia is...:mad::mad::mad:
should have just bought a 5080. just knew somthing like this was gonna happen.

Initially, we heard they were going to be out around now (or very soon), then it was Q1 and now way into 2026. Looks like they're vapourware at this point, though if the AI bubble pops, I should imagine there will be a GPU dump like we've never seen (even after the crypto-pop).

It's not just Nvidia, Any device that uses VRAM including those from AMD, Intel, Samsung, Apple etc...

And that's why you buy what you want, when you want it, as it's available, now the prices of ram & storage have shot up as well, so anyone building a new pc is getting fleeced even more than they were already.

yes, i know sadly :( but was planning and waiting like a begging Oliver twist till the new year for a 24gb 5080 super.

I know it's a sucky situation, Get what you can now before prices start rocketing up, 5070 Ti 16GB is a solid card, You can bet your rear end that IF the Supers do come out around Q2 they will be very pricey and maybe even the non Supers will go up too.

AI bubble pops. They are trying very hard to get the US government to pay into the the never ending pot of Debt if they have any common sense they should say no. We also have Jensen Huang the super salesman coming out with ramp it up crap like the Chinese are going to beat us to it. Yes it is going to go pop Balance sheets are getting stressed to the max now.

get one at a decent price.
is any GPU these days a decent price? i spent £700 and built myself a SFF AM4 PC minus the GPU 2 years ago. its been rock solid. it annoys me that i have to spend £700 - £800 on one componets these days and thats not even top of the line.

Really dont think i can wait that long. think its gonna be a 5070ti then skip the 60 series or sell the 5070ti if there are huge gains. Cant justify spending 1.2k on the 5080 with only 16gb. it Doesn't seem value for money when the 5080 is only 16% better than the 5070ti and and extra £500

I struggle to recommend 5080s to people really, it's such an awkwardly positioned card. You basically have to overclock it to get the performance it should have had, and it's still lacking a bit in VRAM.

I think the 5070Ti or if you're willing to go AMD the 9700 XT isn't bad either is the way for most people to go unless you really want to pay for the extra performance a 5080 gives.

is it worth getting the OC version, the standed Gigabyte 5070ti are all preorder.
