• Competitor rules

Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

5090 already lol.

RT/PT without any upscaling needed perhaps given the de-noise accelerator hardware? Yeah count me in for that. If that is accurate then the raster performance will be off the charts and the new DisplayPort specs tooting 900Hz monitors or whatever can be actually realised lol.

It'll only cost you 1500 for a 5080 and 2k for the 5090, but dont worry it will be leaps and bounds ahead of the 4090.

£2k for founders edition 5090 is probably a bit too low, considering the effects inflation will have by September 2024. It's currently 10%!

£2200 has a nice ring to it

It's a bit early to start worry about a GPU that won't be released until October 2024

Who's worrying though ? :)

Do you mean these people who just bought a 4090 for £1800 worrying where they can find the £2500 for the 5090 in less than 2 years time ?
;)

I'm not so worried about the cost of the graphics card. I'm worried about the ******** 700W power draw (1200W PSU needed) that I suspect Nvidia might go for unless they sit down and think hard thoughts.

I actually think they'll struggle to improve the 5090 anywhere near as much as they wont be able to rely on another jump like the one from Samsung 8 to TSMC 5, the rest of the cards would probably see a better uplift though if they go back to using proper sized dies instead of the cutdown rubbish we are going to get with ADA.

Oh, yeah. The £5000 series hype is starting early. Just in time for Christmas, two years before the paper release date \o/

Its actually starting late threads usually appear days after the xx90 is released been waiting for them to appear.

Apparently Nvidia have been caught installing the new 5090 in one of their testing centres.
