50gb?

Just purchased a nice new Samsung Evo 840 120gb. Installed Windows 7 Ultimate and have 73gb of space left.

How is it possible that the installation ate nearly 50gb of space?

Ultimate has language packs, so that's some space.
Also, the hibernation file will be large if you have a lot of ram (75% I think) so that's another lump of space.

Your page file might be large too.

I'd check them out =) there are loads of guises on 'how to optimise ssds' , most of them will help with the above.

Excellent. Appologies I couldn't fire you a link, I was on the train at the time (still am) so loading a load of sites can be hit and miss lol
