I've been fiddling with WinUAE (amiga emulator) and noticed juddery scrolling, i found this was due to the amiga using a 50hz refresh rate, luckily my viewsonic vp930 supports 50hz and now ive got perfectly smooth scrolling in my amiga games.
I got curious and tried a few PC games, most worked without issue at 50hz, what i want to know is if theres any downside to doing this? i quite like the idea of only needing 50fps for smooth movement.
Cant see any aliasing or artifacts, the response time feels the same, any words from the wise?
