50mb upload speed

hey,

i've just had the 50mb vm broadband installed and noticed the upload is only 1.5mb, rang customer services and they said it hasn't been upgraded yet.

Is this still the case that the 50mb has a crappy upload speed? I thought everywere now was 5mb?

Nope - upload speed upgrade rollout has not been completed yet.

Bristol is still "in planning" with no dates for both the upload speed upgrade and the 100Mb rollout, as are a few other places.

I never got a USB wireless dongle either, aren't these supposed to be given with a 50mb install etc?

I forgot all about it until now, can anyone confirm if you are supposed to get the dongle.

Recently moved house and was offered one by the engineer doing the install, and said yes to it.

Although previously when I upgraded to 50Mb I wasn't and called Virgin for one, but to no avail.

Worth you giving them a call, nothing to lose.

I didn't get one either, until I read some topic in their forum and ask one of the moderators that were handing them out and he sorted it out!
I guess calling them would be quicker.

If you asked for one, you should have gotten one. I didn't get one as I had no need for it.
