530d GT - Should I?

Do you guys have pics of CIC and non CIC? I'm toying with the idea of replacing my Accord with either a 5 or a 3 so need to know what to look out for in the 5.

@Fox, bit OT so apologies to the OP but was your 3 really that bad? I say this as a friend of mine up North replaced his E92 330i with a a brand new 325i and so far it's spent more time in the garage then in his hands. He's even now complained to BMW UK as around 3 weeks ago he dumped it at the garage and refused to have anything further to do with it.

It wasn't 'bad', it was in isolation a very good car. It drove brilliantly, handled well and offered epic performance for the sort of fuel economy you'd expect from a far less potent car. But it felt just like a 'nice car' rather than a 'great car' and the lack of overall quality feel and rattly trim just compounded this. I was never going to be as satisfied with it as I was with the E39 which just made me think whats the point?

Hmm, decisions, decisions, I either ***** the money on replacing the Accord which I'm sort of happy with but I'm getting the itch to replace it or I use it as part of a deposit on a house? The house at the mo is in the lead as in theory in a couple of years it'll have made me some monies that I could then use to then replace the Accord :)

Went to BMW to have a look round the 530D GT M Sport and 730D. 7 was not bad at all, boot was smaller than I expected and I'd say felt smaller than the boot of my XF and a fair bit smaller than the XJ. Liked the soft close doors and the seats where nice but the rest of the interior didn't feel anything special at all.

The 530D GT was in dark grey and it looked better than some I've seen but I don't think I could ever bring myself to own something that ugly. The boot on it was again also smaller than expected and the interior whilst again having nice seats was a bit dull.

So looks like I'll be keeping the XF for a couple more years and then either get the XJ or if things go to plan the C-X16 :)
