55" 4K around £1K+, Samsung VE55HU7200, Sony KD55X8505b, Panasonic TX-55CX680

Same model but a years warranty. I usually go with John Lewis for peace of mind and extra warranty. On site repairs too.

Semi tempted by the Sony KD55X9005BBU.A

Dont have to bother with a soundbar

Not sure I can justify it though

I got a TX50CX802B ordered for £1599 from Sevenoaks sound and vision. Probably won't get it till end of month.

I know what I would order if I had £3799 though.

Good TV

;)Price creep is endless. Looking back ..is it 2x as good, and the short answer is there. Maybe I answered my dilemma.

I have gone for the Sony KD55X8505BBU.A , seems to be good value as it was £2100 when it came out last yr despite not being the best at that pricepoint. What Hi-fi gave it a best buy for now due to the price drop. Freesat and Freeview tuners too.
My Skybox has just packed up too... I may just cancel.

You won't be disappointed. I have the older version and it is lovely (apart from some screen DSE at the edges but that is on every screen - something to do with the panels they use). The 2.0 operating system is even faster! Panasonic 4k channel is good.
