for sitting approx 9 to 10 ft back

would 65 be too big?

would 55 look small after a while and wish to have bought bigger ?

i have looked at diffrerent sites that seem to give conflicting information

wanted user experiences

I sit 10ft from my 50" and it's fine, i want a bigger TV now though and 65" will be my next one, so 55" at 10ft away will be fine.

i know the 55" will be good, the question im thinking is over time will it begin to "feel" small and will i wish i went bigger.

If you have the space and the money then go for the 65 - 9 to 10 foot will be fine. If you get the 55 then in a few months time you'll be thinking "I should have got the 65".

I've definitely read in quite a few tv buying guides, that unless there is some glaring reason not to, always go bigger.

i did look at one in store and if im honest it felt a bit big for the distance..

hence asking if i would get used to it quickly (from other peoples experiences)

When I upgraded from 26" to 48" a year or so ago I thought I'd bought one too big. That lasted all of less than 10 minutes.

This is 9' away by the way

Yeah similar to above, when I went from 40" to 55", I thought it was far too big and regretted it. Now it just looks normal, and if anything I'm considering going bigger :D

I sit maybe 7 feet from a 55" atm and always wish the room wouldn't look daft if i put the couch closer by a couple of feet.

I sit (in the dark) about 7ft from a curved 65"

It's very cinematic, although you do then require higher quality sources!
