Good morning all. Looking for some advice at the moment.

Currently I have a 350D and I am looking to upgrade the camera in the next few months. Very happy with Canon so looking to stick with them. I have compared the tech specs via the Canon website of the 3 models and find very little if any real differences between them.

I would be looking to go for the 550D rather than spend the extra money on the 600D or the 60D (not too fussed on the pop out screen).

The main use for the camera is usual family pics, portraits, landscape and also looking to try and use it a great deal more since moving to London. One thing I would like to have go at is more night time photography and also stop start motion.

What would you choose and why, I know the 60D has a better build quality than the 550D.

Thank You

I did consider the 7D for a Nanosecond but too pricey as I would like to get a lens if poss after the camera. Video is not a must have but a nice to have.

I really should readjust my statement sorry. I would not make a huge use of the video side of things but will play around with it. Also I feel for sell on value would be beneficial to get one with Video.

I think I was always going for the 550D unless I found a great deal on the 60D...or even and once in a lifetime deal on the 7D (very doubtful).

I think the feel of the 60D does appeal to me as it does feel very sturdy but is it worth the extra outlay just to have that feeling of sturdyiness (is that a word) and the nice display screen on the top of the camera. I would say not.
