Would the improvement be worth the outlay for Skyrim and BF3? Also, I wonder if any advantage with FSX, although I doubt it for that one.

But to answer your question from what we can tell: the 670 will probably perform around the level/just above a HD7950. It'll be priced over £300 (as per Gibbo). Overclocking performance is unknown. You can compare a 7950 performace to your 560ti from a simple google search and this will give you an idea at least until more comes out.

As soon as something definite does come out the best place to find out is these forums :)

The 2gb 560 is a very good candidate for SLI due to the extra ram. Maybe pick another one up? Should give you better than 670 performance.

670 more cost effective though.

Abother 560Ti will cost at least £200. I can flog my 560Ti for a few quid and add a bit for a 670. Plus, I wont have any SLI issues.

I just went from a 2gb 560 Ti clocked at 980/1175 to a Gtx 580, and gained around 25% extra performance. When the 580 is overclocked it is around 30-35%.

The 670 should be faster than the 580, so I'd expect it to be around 60-70% quicker than a 560 Ti.

Are we ever going to see a good performing Nvidia card that doesn't break the bank?

Since AMD charged OTT prices for the 7970/50, this has allowed NVIDIA to do the same. NVIDIA could have charged less for the 680 lets say but why should they?

I am not siding with either NVIDIA or AMD because they are both robbing us but the truth is we still buy them. If nobody did, then they would have had no choice but to lower prices but this has shown that even in recession, they can still sell by the shed loads.

Well I have no complaints about my 480, it'll clock to 900 on the core if I need it, it smash's bf3 at medium to low settings which is all I need really, more eye candy makes it harder to see the enemy so until games require this power and price i can wait it out, if the 670 had come in around £250 I would have considered one but over £300, no chance.

There's a b grade 2gb 560ti for 160 quid in the clearance section. Better than waiting and paying silly prices (£350 is a decent start price) and will outperform a 670 also.

Right guys. it's on. We're going to boycott the GPU manufacturers. Nobody buy the cards! We'll get them to lower prices! 690 for a tenner anyone? :p:D

I'm with ya:D

But seriously I can wait them out, I only game on 1 monitor at 1920x1080 to which the 480 handles no problem, I do wonder what people are doing with near on £500 worth of graphics card
