Hey guys - When i use the ATI Overdrive and overclock my 5770 very slightly - horizontal lines appear when i play games or benchmark. Then all you can do is restart the pc. Its not going over 61oc. Could this be a driver issue? I think ive got the latest. Also ive only got a 2.4 Dual core so it could be getting limited? But why would the GPU crash when overclocking?

For some reason mate, its the ati overdrive that has the problem. When I oc my 5850 max in overdrive 775/1125, in game menu's, i get lines across the screen but fine in game.
I have overclocked using MSI afterburner and its been fine since, running happily on 850/1200 on stock volts

you're going way to high for the memory, stay in 12xxs' and like said, use msi afterburner
