dont even bother doing a fresh install of windows just to change graphics cards

down load either driver cleaner or driver sweeper (google) , install and create a short cut to your desktop,Uninstall old drivers and physically remove old card and install new card, reboot into safe mode (F8 button while pc boots) , load safe mode and find the shortcut on your desktop, run cleaner and search for your old drivers to clean, once cleaned reboot and install new drivers , dont forgot to download and install .net framework packs if installing ATI drivers, these usually need to be installed BEFORE the ATI drivers

job done

Hi, you don't need .net with either Vista or Windows 7 as it's already installed..

Skalaberg, just look in Programs and Features in the Control panel. It should list all your programs and windows components that are installed there :)

i had the same problems with you when swapping cards, at first my fps was crap, i then uninstalled and deleted the old software properly ;), worked great then. So much that i got another lol!

+1 for not using driver cleaner, it randomly wipes files so you cant install an adapter.

When i went from GTX 280 to 5870 all i did was run driver sweeper, turn off pc, replace 280 with 5870, boot pc back up and install latest drivers. I have had zero issues and everything is smooth as butter :)
