It felt fine in Battlefield 2 lastnight (Yes, thats the only game I tried :o)

I'll install H.A.W.X later and try and get GTA IV working as its buggered atm :(

hmm, im not sure if i should get 2 of these 5770s or another 4890 or a 5850 which is showing in stock elsewhere.

5770 is showing a healthy boost in crossfire but but another 4890 would be cheaper and more powerful

http://www.guru3d.com/article/radeon-hd-5770-review-test/14

these results look quite good, for ~ £230 a pair of 5770s give most other cards a run for its money at least at 1920x1200

the cpu in that review is @ 3.75GHz, i have mine at 4.2GHz (i7 860) + with gpu clocking so could expect a good 10-20 fps boost than what they manage.

decisions decisions, what should I do :o

I went for it as I managed to sell my 4870 512mb to a mate for £65 (might have got a tenner more elsewhere but wasn't worth the hassle)

I'm not sure if my IP35 Pro motherboard is holding back the cards though :o

I considered the Crossfire route with the 4870/90 but decided that DX11 would be better and I'd get two free dirt 2 vouchers ;)

Could be but its in smaller text in the corner under the large image that states its SLI compatible.

500w should be more than enough I would have thought, but just wanted to make sure
if its a cheap psu, i would say bin it and buy a good branded one. because it won't be a true 500w and the amp's will be low. also if/when it blows it could take your system with it

well at the moment I'm using an s-video output for a case screen so I will probably loose that with a 5770, but I'll gain dx11 & advanced power-play and eyefinity

a video to vga converter might work

also with your above scores, you seem to have dropped some fps with the feature tests not that it would really matter

feature test 4 single = 23.68fps crossfire = 20.79fps
feature test 5 single = 33.22fps crossfire = 27.67fps

also have you tried clocking your cpu? it should easily attain 3.33-3.6Ghz

well that seems a little low then lol, im sure i get 13k with my single 4890

dual v quad, apple and oranges n all

majority of that is probably coming from the cpu though

Enermax is a good brand is it not?

was one of the best PSU's when I looked into them at the time of building
